Story Behind Community Samvada

Community Samvada, the print edition was started as a four page magazine 26 years ago from Sector 15 A Noida in the year 1995.The idea behind the magazine was to create communication/interaction among the residents of the sector which was new and at a developing stage.

The response of the magazine within a few months was so good that the residents started looking forward to it every month. This was primarily because the residents themselves wrote and participated in its editorial content. That’s when the idea of taking Samvada to other sectors/colonies of Noida and South Delhi was conceived.

From four page magazine published from one sector of Noida, it grew to 66 editons, above 1,50,000 copies from Noida, South Delhi and Gurugram.

Samvada understands neighbourhoods through it's "Residents Web", which consists of more than 400 sector/colony editors who write and report on what’s happening in their respective sectors/colonies. Along with them

Samvada is able to drive a community and keep the residents informed.

Business houses also saw a great opportunity in promoting their businesses through Samvada. Slowly Samvada had advertising from all kinds of businesses that wanted to penetrate into the lives of the residents.
